Cloud 9 is part of the series “Le Petit Prince” that draws graphical and lyrical inspiration from the same titled book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Lilly reflects Saint-Exupéry thoughts in our beautiful handmade neon light installations.
The real art resides in the multiple angles of interpretation: Saint-Exupéry is both author and illustrator. Text and image have become an inseparable unit. The book addresses children as well as adults – both can read the book through their eyes and find what is visible to their age and life experience. Every image, every chapter and every episode reveals more and more images, that hint towards a very personal interpretation. The recipient can choose the message, and it will be different every time.
Our neon light installations contain identical references to characters in the chapter of the book and leave room for interpretation. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, leave the everyday behind, and dive into the adventures of the little prince.
