Product specifications
Neon products are available in many different product configurations. Here's an overview of the available Glass Neon and LED Neon variants, including colours and backgrounds.
Neon lights come in three colour categories: Classic (transparent glass tubes when turned off), Powdered (white tubes) and Coloured (coloured tubes).
The non-illuminated parts (backbends) of the Neon sign are covered with an opaque acrylic colour to block the light.
Glass-only Neon signs are assembled directly on the wall with tube supports. An installation manual is provided.
Our standard indoor equipment is easy to use and available in black or white. Power supply units suitable for outdoor use require professional installation.

Encased Neon signs are free-standing with the added option to hang them on the wall, making them hyper flexible. Recommended for indoor use only.
The power supply unit is fitted invisibly inside the base of the acrylic box, with just a detachable, plug & play power cable showing.

The LED Neon colour palette is similar to the Glass Neon colours. Additionally, the RGB multi-colour option enables changing the glow colour.
Fixed to thin, discreet rails, the LED tubes are mounted directly to the wall with eyelets.

LED Neon wall lights are installed flat on the wall with mounting eyelets. Outdoor signs may require additional on-site wiring.

The colour options available for LED Neon closely resemble those of Glass Neon. The RGB multi-colour option allows for changing the glow colour as desired.
Mounted LED Neon signs come pre-assembled on a plate, metal raceways or moss and are ready to use for wall-mounting or suspension.
Wall-mounting options are specific to the selected background type. For suspension, a steel-cable hanging system is provided.

What is the difference between Glass Neon and LED Neon? Which is better suited for my project?
Glass Neon is a time-tested, traditional advertising technology and made from handshaped glass tubes that contain a gas mix (neon and/or argon). LED Neon is made from flexible silicone tubes with LED modules. Both types of Neon are handcrafted and require a high degree of craftsmanship. Which kind is ideal for your project is ultimately up to personal taste, but you can learn more about the different aesthetics and use cases in our Sygns Magazine. If you're unsure which product is best suited for your requirements, ask our team for expert advice!
What colours and tube sizes are available for Neon signs?
Glass Neon colours are clustered in three categories, based on how the glow colour is achieved: the "Classic" colours (red + blue, which are the natural glow colours of the respective gases), the "Powdered" colours (all white tones; all "Super" colours including blue, pink, purple and green; Orchid and Turquoise), and the "Coloured" tones (Ruby Red, Cobalt Blue, Novial Gold, Emerald Green). The LED Neon colour spectrum is comparable, but not exactly the same. LED Neon has the additional option of changeable RGB colours with RGB controller. You can find more information on the available colours for both Neon types in the "Product specification" tool above. For Glass Neon, standard tube sizes range from 8 mm to 18 mm, and for LED Neon from 6 mm to 13 mm. RGB LED is only available in 10 mm tube thickness for technical reasons. The appropriate tube diameter is individually selected for each custom sign based on design and total size. Can I use my own logo design or special font for my Neon project?
Yes, of course! We offer a range of standard fonts for your convenience, but custom fonts can be used as well. You can either upload your design file directly in the Neon Configurator or send us your specifications so that we can create a file for you. Generally speaking, Glass Neon lends itself best to fluid, cursive lettering styles with soft edges, while LED Neon is ideally suited for more angular designs and typefaces with straight lines and sharp corners.
Where can I buy spare components for my Neon sign?
You can conveniently order spare parts for Glass Neon signs – such as power supply converters, tube supports (glass holders), or silicone caps for the electrodes – in our Accessories shop online. In case you need additional or replacement components for your LED Neon sign, please contact our support team.
Are Neon signs difficult to install? Can Sygns install my order?
Glass Neon without background (direct to wall) is assembled directly on the wall, while pre-mounted Neon signs do no require assembly and are delivered ready to use. LED Neon (both direct-to-wall and pre-mounted) is easy and quick to hang without detailed instructions. You can find ressources for the installation in the Downloads section below as well as in our Sygns Magazine. It is recommended that the installation be carried out by qualified personnel. Your Neon product might require wiring by an electrician, depending on the electrical parts. Sygns offers an installation service in and around Berlin, as well as a number of other cities.
